I'm a victim of a board certified doctor who teaches at Stanford. He lipo'd 20 of the wrong parts and left me disfigured and with crippling injuries to my knees. My knees were perfect and were not supposed to be lipo'd. I commend you for warning others, and I think these butchers should be in jail! I wish you the best.

It seems that leagally there should be some recourse for you. Thanks for posting the dr.'s name so others won't have to go through the same ordeal (or worse). Remember that most of us are highly critical of our bodies. As a stranger looking at you... I don't think you're disfigured. I wouldn't look at you twice if you were in a bikini on the beach (for disfigurement reasons!) That sounds like a bad compliment... I meant that I don't think you'd stand out for freakish reasons. Thanks for posting.

Hi! Thaks for sharing oyur story. I had lip on inner and outer thighs and my inner thighs are worse than before. I have deep indentations on each side and a nice jelly roll on the front of each thigh. Plus, a got little saddlebags, when I didn;t have them in the first place. Went back to the dr and was told that like a baseball game I'm on 3rd base and ready to get home. He suggested more lipo. Not so fast, buddy! I'm researching laser assisted lipo as a method to better contour these areas.

I can sympathize and I too am in pursuit of correcting this - I have an even worse self image than before. Let me know what you think or know about the laser technique.

I'm so sorry that this happened to you but why did you have the surgery in the first place???? Your body fives months before was beautiful. There is an amazing doctor in Beverly Hills that specializes in body work, he gave my girlfriend a tummy tuck and lipo and she looks fantastic. His name is DR. Yamini (might be spelled wrong but close) Good luck!

you looked just fine before you started messing around with yourself and initiated all that unecessary surgery. what is tragic to me is that a woman such as yourself would feel the need to subject herself to this proceedure for no legitimate medical necessity. there are no guarantees in medicine. i hope that you use your unfortunate experience to educate other women not about the faults of the doctors, but rather the fault of the brainwashing they experience that would lead them to make as poor a choice as you have.

AS a registered nurse that specializes in Plastic/cosmetic surgeries, I can tell you, YOU definitely have a legal claim against this butcher! Seek legal advice soon!! The docs usually settle out of court, which will give you the money you need to reconstruct. Plus comp for pain and suffering! Get an attorney that specializes in medical malpractice. Also, go to your states medical board and file a complaint!! They can also help you with advice!!

You looked fine before. Did you ever consider exercise? With a little work you could have had a very nice firm bottom and thighs. Why go to such extremes? And how much money was it? Was it worth it? I don't think so. A membership to the gym would've been a better investment.

Why would you ever get it in the first place??? You had a fabulous body before! I don't understand why someone would risk their body and life just to try to look like a model or movie star! For me..it's not worth it and not worth looking or having the body that you now have and trying not to better your body naturally in the first place. Girl..you looked awesome before...you didn't need to do this to yourself.

I am best friends with the woman who posted this website and blog. I have seen her body up close, and taken many of these pictures myself. So those of you who have left nasty comments, which she will not post, or have sent her rude and mean emails, should be ashamed of yourselves.

As a service to you, she posted this website to warn you of the dangers of using her specific doctor and the potentially devastating effects such procedures can have on all aspects of your lives, not just your self confidence. She is spending her money to post this website to warn you even though she does not have to. Please be positive and supportive and share things that might prevent others from having these procedures.

She thinks about this mistake constantly and has a lot of regrets, but unfortunately she can not turn back time. Although many of us believe she did not need liposuction in the first place, that does not mean she deserved this outcome. Vanity is a natural instinct which we are all guilty of. I do not believe there is one person on this planet who loves everything about themselves. Many of us want to change our nose, or receding hairline, or teeth, our breasts, have a larger penis, etc. But most of us do not have the money or courage to do it. We just live with what God gave us. She chose to have this surgery, but she did not choose to have this outcome. Of course any patient takes a risk when having cosmetic surgery, but a doctor is a licensed professional who should have his patient’s best interest at heart. Doctors are individuals whom we all look up to and trust because of their status within our society and because we assume they are educated and practice their profession ethically. Do not attack her for making a mistake and being brave enough to share her story and pictures so that she can prevent all of you from doing the same thing.

I hate to see her feel so bad about herself and I pray that she is able to find a doctor who can help repair her body. I would love for her to regain the self confidence she once had and actually feel good about herself again.

I work for a registered acupuncturist and have seen my share of botched lipo patients. They usually come to us when they have excessive swelling and/or infections at the incision site, which btw have been sucessfully treated with the acupuncture. We had a professional dancer come in once and she was afraid she'd never get work again because of the swelling and scarring left behind. She required several treatments, but was left with virtually minimal signs of scarring and no swelling or misshaped areas.
I hope you win your case and find a doctor who can reconstruct to your satisfaction. I'd also encourage you to use supplements and skin care to "condition" your skin with to promote optimal healing for your current condition and any future corrective surgeries you may have. You might want to consider a good detox program to help your body eliminate toxins that gather in the cellulite, and avoid trans fats to reduce the cellulite as well. We are what we eat. I'm 45 and don't have a single dimple on my butt or thighs because I don't do fries and milk shakes. Exercise and drink lots of filtered water.
I hope this helps and good luck to you. I look forward to following up on your successful journey to regaining your confidence and self-esteem.

As a gym instructor, I would suggest concentrated working out in the areas of the upper thighs to build up the inner thigh muscles. Your buttocks look firm and rounded but the thighs look atrophied. By getting the upper and especially inner thighs back in shape I think you will find the overall result 100% improvement.

I wish I had never done it! I was 54KG ( I am 167cms) ans i had a lipo in the thighs, inner thighs and inner knee. My lipo was a disaster! one side is bigger that the other and my knees looked exactly like yours but with more fats. I suffered from severe dipression and I was on tablets ( Xanax and cipralex ) for long time! I had my second surgey to correct the first one ( I had done in my inner kness andI was happy with the results) and now I am going for my 3rd in the knees area and I will do some fat transfer im one of my thighs. Dr. says the results will be around 80% I still have dreams and nightmare and I still cry on daily basis and regret what I have done to my beautifull, sexy body! why have I done it? I was looking for perfection!

I just read your story and it breaks my heart that you are so young going through this! How brave you are to inform the world of your ordeal. I hope your are able to successfully sue the moron who did this to you. I wish you would go on tv with your experience as I know too many young women eager to cut their way to perfection. Contrary to the post one of your friends left, it does not take courage to change what God gave you; it takes courage to accept what you've got and love yourself unconditionally. I am not in anyway condemning you. I wish I could hold you and make it better. Nobody deserves what happened to you! Nobody! Vanity can be an overwhelming beast if not tethered by balance and care. I hope now you are able to work on developing the "perfection" of your soul. You already seem like a lovely person. Only a beautiful soul could reveal this kind of tragedy and not come off sounding resentful. No matter what they've done to your body, they can't take that away. Peace and love to you, dear!

I commend you on beating cancer. However, being a cancer survivor myself, I have to ask why, since you looked so beautiful before the lipo, would you have risked yourself needlessly for reasons so small as vanity? Cancer will take your life, you looked so beautiful previously, yet you were unhappy just to have your life? This is not a problem outside yourself so much as it is inside yourself. Women could only dream to look as nice as you did before that needless proceedure, especially after such a dreadful disease, why would you take a huge risk with yourself? I am sorry this happened to you but disagree with your decision to do it considering your health's circumstances. I hope you receive whatever it is you have set out to achieve with your plight and this blog. I am sorry you have suffered cancer however, that was something you never asked for nor risked.

You know I read some of the comments condemning this woman for getting some cosmetic surgery and I am disgusted. It is her right to seek out a doctor and "tweak" her body a little bit if that is what she feels like doing. My issue is that the doctor who did this and for the doctors who do see women with amazing bodies should refuse to do any surgery. It's the cosmetic surgeon that made the mistake not the patient. I think that the woman who had the courage to show us what can happen is at the very least a hero and has probably unknowingly saved someone from the same fate. I hope if you read this, that you will sue the doctor and receive enough money to do the repairs. Your body was amazing and it can still be close to what it once was but for sure it will take time..good luck to you. Thank you for posting the pics.

80-85% of women will suffer with cellulite in her life. No one is perfect, nor can be, even with all the cosmetic procedures available. As someone who works in the mental health field, I have to question why you wouldn't be happy enough to live through 3 cancer scares, only to feel compelled to risk your health over something so trivial. What one doctor may have refused, she may have 'shopped' around til she found one that wouldn't have anyway. U.S. cosmetic surgeons are paid by the job and she was "just another surgery". She would not have had a problem finding one that would have wanted to earn a few thousand dollars. Please look within for answers to why you need to change a near perfect outside.

just re: this comment - "You so did not need lipo in the first place. Lipo is for grossly obese people. You just needed some cardio!"

Lipo is actually not for obese people at all. It is essentially most beneficial for people without a significant weight problem who have problematic areas. Most doctors worth their salt will put an obese patient on a diet before attempting lipo. It is not our place to judge this woman for choosing to have an operation

There was nothing wrong with your body BEFORE liposuction; what the hell could you possibly have been thinking? It looks as though you are not only a victim of a bad surgeon, but also your own vanity and ego, as well as your poor research into your choice of surgeons. Give me a break. It also looks like you've gained quite a few pounds between your 'before' and 'after'. That's probably not helping your appearance. You are truly a fabulous example of what 'not' to do. While most of us are reaching towards sympathy for this plastic surgery victim, others will be quick to criticize this woman for her decision to seek a surgical solution to her negative self-image. If your instinct is to criticize rather than sympathize, I hope that you will consider the point I am about to make before you post your comment. Of course, there are those of us who only criticize because we cannot fathom why a beautiful woman would elect to undergo an expensive and unecessary cosmetic procedure that has potential complications. While I applaud your complimentary message, I ask that you attempt to realize the underlying motive for cosmetic surgery, and perhaps you will develop a new perspective.

I live in a plastic town where a favorite hobby amongst many people is plastic surgery, so I understand people's needs to want to improve themselves. But it stems deeper than simply, "I want to get rid of this flab, so I'll go to the gym." We live in a world where quick fixes are the easy way out, where we'd rather down a beer than confront our problems, where we put our children on ritalin when they misbehave in class instead of trying to understand them and modify their behavior, where we take a trip to the doctor to correct some excess thigh fat instead of spending months at a gym. Physical insecurity is something that everyone deals with. Many times physical insecurity does not even correlate with physical imperfection, but is only a neurosis in our own minds. Women like Jocelyn Wildenstein have mutilated their faces with cosmetic surgery, yet she still continues to get work done on her face. Everyone sees what she's done to herself and asks why someone would do such a thing. But that's exactly it. We don't know what is going on in her mind or psychological state, therefore we can't possibly understand her decisions...just like we can't understand what the owner of this website was going through when she decided that her body needed fixing. It's easy for us to judge and say, "Why would you do such a thing to a great body?" just like it's easy to judge other gorgeous women that nip and tuck their bodies to a worse state. Regardless of why she made her choice, she had her own insecurities that no one can understand in a personal way, so we should just support her as she deals with the mistake that she made. We all have our own self-image that may not be what others actually see, and sometimes our distorted perceptions lead us to seek a physical perfection that is purely in our own minds. At one point in our lives, we have all made a decision that everyone else thought was ridiculous but it made sense to ourselves, so let's realize that this woman did the same thing and help her through this recovery.

To the victim of this atrocious doctor, I am very sorry for what you are going through. I hope that you will either find inner peace with your body or an effective way to resolve this situation. I commend your bravery in coming forward with your story and exposing the horrors of plastic surgery. I know that this website has made a difference in preventing other women from making poor choices about surgically changing their bodies or getting cut open without thoroughly researching the surgeon's reputation first. If I ever feel the urge to seek plastc surgery, I will always have your story to guide my decision. Thank you.

I so sorry you have had such a terrible ordeal with all of this. Being an adult male perhaps I am oblivious, but you certainly seemed beautifully proportioned to me before the surgery began, I imagine you yourself have wondered if going from a 9.9 to a 10 was worth the risk. But this society makes everyone feel that unless they see themselves as perfect physically they feel the need to improve.
This may not seem helpful but I think your body is fine now and I think given enough time will do amazing things on its own. I have seen people with much more extreme situations and scaring that over time the body settles it's fat back into the areas the scars fade and skin especially on younger people will tighten back again to more the original look. I doubt you will ever be completely happy with the final result but from the bottom of my heart The people that really care for you as a person will never even notice. I know my son was born without his right hand, is now an adult with kids of his own and nobody that knows him even notices it any more. He lives a completely normal life and has never let it stop him from any thing he wanted to do including playing football and baseball. I am happy that you are stepping up and warning others, now I pray that you can move forward in your life and enjoy all the positive things in your life. Hope I didn't sound like a preachy old goof, just one that wants you to feel good about who you are!

Wow - I am sorry because you had quite a lovely figure before you had the lipo. I think the doctor's should have refused to do lipo on an already thin and fit body. It appears that your thighs were two inches apart before - what fat was there to remove? Lipo cannot get rid of loose skin - only accentuate it. I had a tummy tuck to remove loose skin - and do have a large scar that is not beautiful, but my waist is smaller and tummy firmer so I can live with it. Good luck to you.

You may not have had plastic surgery but I'm sure some of you decided to stay with an Abusive Lover, mentally and physically or maybe you didn't pursue an higher education. You may be living paycheck to paycheck. No one can predict the future, therefore we do make mistakes with our decisions and judgements. Because the outcome sometimes isn't in our best favor. Please, stop criticizing this woman and commend her for the courage of sharing her story to help prevent some other young, bright eyed, little girl from making the same mistake by seeking out the perfect body going under the knife. I hope God Blesses her with the right surgeon to help correct the deformities. Thank-you for sharing this with the public.

A correction to my previous post...You do not have any Deformities... Your body does not look as bad as you may see it. So please don't feel like you are abnormal, because you're not. I'm willing to bet that you look better than most of the people posting the comments, they probably have sagging skin, fat pockets, and dents without the botched surgery. Not to be cruel, I'm just keeping it real. You don't look bad as you think. Stay positive and hold on to your Faith!

I was shocked at some of the cruel comments left by other people. no-one is perfect and we all make mistakes.Every single person should feel kindness toward you because you were only being human. I am glad you have such a kind friend who loves you. I will admit I felt sad that you thought you needed surgery because you are beautiful ! Notice I said "are". That is right .You are. *You* shine right through your body and that is what people should see and if they don't....well they miss out. I do feel pain at what has been done to you and I agree you must feel terrible because at first glance you will be seeing all the imperfections to a higher degree than they are .I wish I could make you feel better ! All I can say is I admire you and hope you find the help you desire. *hug*

My heart truly goes out to you...I can relate to your frustration, regret, and depression. I too had an "accident", and although it was not a result of liposuction, the results look like they could have been from that kind of surgery.

I was doing laser hair removal (the clinic was usinga YAG laser) and on my last day of treatment the cooling mechanism failed and the extra heat of the laser melted the fat in all kinds of spots from my hips down to my anckles. The fat is all rippled an uneven. I used to have smooth legs...now they look like a 60 yr old's. I cry almost every time I look at them.

I think you're doing a great thing by raising awareness about the risks of plastic surgery. I also think you should take that butcher to court and make him pay for what he's done. He should be in jail as far as I'm concerned.

You're not alone. I know it's hard but try to stay positive- don't let him take anything more away from you than he already has!

*big hug*

Instead of complaining and whining over the fact that your surgery didn't go over the way you wanted it to, you should be thankful that something worse didn't happen to you. There are other women and men just as vain and self-centered as you who die from surgeries every year. Those are the ones we should feel sorrow for. Not the ones whose surgery didn't go the way they were expecting and are left deformed.

I am really quite shocked over some of the comments left for you. Anonymity over the internet, it seems, brings out the worst in some immature, hypocritical people.
While I do think you're body was lovely before, I do see why you wanted plastic surgery- right now, I'm a size 8 too and I'm constantly told that I don't need it, that I look fine the way I am. The thing is, even after seeing your photos and reading your story- I still want to have liposuction. I thank you wholeheartedly for putting up this site. When I finally have the means to pay for it, I will definatly not be hasty about it and research my doctors very carefully.
As for your current state- I do see why you would have problems with your body. However, I can also see how rockin' you would look in certain outfits- it appears [from what I've seen] that alot of your so-called 'deformities' are in areas that don't necessarily see the light of day. As [sorta] horrible as this sounds, you can wear a great deal of different kinds of clothes, look slamming, and have nobody be the wiser over your botched surgery.
It is a horrible thing what this butcher did to you. You trusted him and this is how he left you- more insecure than before. I apologize on behalf of the human race for some of the truly mean comments left on here. Some people just need to grow up and realize that EVERYONE is vain and will go through hoops on fire to acheive what they think is perfection. No one is excluded from this. It is my most sincere wish that you are able to afford a revision surgery and get what that doctor did to you, fixed.

I second that! Some of the comments posted show a complete lack of empathy for another human being...we all make mistakes...and compassion goes a long way...karma has a way of teaching jerks like that a lesson at some point or another though!

More importantly I wanted to tell you about a product that I just found out about...it's called Macrolane. It's an injectable that's designed for body contouring and is specifically listed as being good for improving assymetries due to bad liposuction! It's part of the Restylane/Perlane family...not yet approved in the US but has been approved in Europe since 2006. Just google it for more info. I was told by a doctor to contact Mr. Chris Ingelfield at cjingle@dircon.co.uk. I'm not sure who he is- I'm waiting to hear back from him.

I hope that helps & good luck!!!

hi, i had lipo first in 1997 when i was going through a bad divorce and had put on about 10-15 pounds and was desperate to lose it. i'm an identical twin and since that first lipo i was never told that fat supports skin and 2 years later my stomache was like a kangaroo pouch so i had a tummy tuck and was really pleased with it although our mom last year went through a lengthy illness and later died and once again (stress) i put on 10-15 pounds (that i fought so hard to lose the last time before my stomach fell down) i had lipo and my legs looked like your pics and my stomach was bumpy. three weeks ago i had corrective tummy tuck and lipo and still don't know how it will turn out (scared actually) i found out you are supposed to massage the area through the internet-my dr. never even mentioned this to me. needless to say these 3 surgeries have cost me over 21,000 and my husband has been really supportive although after all of this i hope it looks better than last year when i was embarassed to wear a bathing suit. my sister says i should be the poster child for reasons not to have plastic surgery. we stood next to each other in my bathroom mirror and i wish i would have never done any of this. i am terribly sorry for you and will count you in my prayers-as women we need to stick together and get the word out that there are no "miracle" surgeries and the recovery is very painful, even 3 weeks later i am still in pain.

I am sorry that you are going through this terrible event. Really, you have my sympathy. But as others have asked - why WHY WHY did you do this? I applaud you for taking the time to warn others. Please - everyone, look at the before and after pictures. This woman was beautiful before.

If you MUST, in your vanity, do something, there ARE things you can do that don't involve the invasiveness of plastic surgery. Dieting, exercise, supplements, etc.

Despite this terrible outcome (I am sorry for your outcome here) - the flip side is (and I'm not trying to be hurtful but merely stepping back and looking at the big picture) that it could be worse. A lot LOT worse. Consider: the young men and women coming back from Iraq with shattered bodies and lost limbs - they'll never have youthfullness to enjoy at all - never mind trying to recapture their youth they once had, out of vanity. And face it - everyone is different and everyone will have different results. So, at some point, you did make this decision yourself... I hope things work out.

Well, there is an old saying - "you pay for your mistakes". Human or not, we're pretty stupid as a whole...

Your website would make more sense if you put some words to your pictures. It would be helpful to know what you didn't like about your body and what your goal was with surgery. You might discuss what your surgery was/should have been and what your doctor felt s/he could do for you. Then you could discuss what was actually the outcome for each surgery. Although I feel for your grief, pictures do not tell the whole story. Sincerest wishes for your wellness.

I acually plan to add more as you have suggested, I just have not had time to finish. I have been rebuilding my site using a site builder software, but its a little confusing since buiding a website is all new too me. I also have updates to add and have been working on a diet and excercise program to see if it will improve the areas.

I know you may be scared to death to try another surgery, but it does look like that dumb azz doctor did take away to much of your fat to support your skin. I think you should just do fat grafting, find a good doctor that specializes in this and get him to do fat grating to fill in the sagging areas. All the doctor would be doing is taking your own body fat and transferring it to areas that need it. I really think that with fat grafting you could fix your body and look exactly like you did before. Have you considered this at all? Please let me know what you think about this. Thanks

I had the same complications from lipo. I'm more ashamed of my body now than before the surgery. It's really difficult when swim season is here. I don't wear a swimsuit in front of people. I'm very self conscience. I wish I had never had lipo. I"ve been to doctors to see about having the problems fixed. One doctor injected my dents with fat but my body absorbed the fat. So needless to say, that surgery wasn't worth it. There isn't a doctor out there that can repair this type of damage.

Hi Darling,

I had a similar case and I have emailed you earlier. I did a corrective surgery twice and both went well. I had both surgeries performed by the same dr. one corrected my deforemed knees and the other corrected my deformed thigh and butt. I am happy with the results. The whole experience was horrible the the corrections are acceptable and as expected. I did not get my formed fugure as earlier but the deformation is less noticable. I wish I knew this dr. when I first had the first surgery. Stupid me, I did not do my searches.

I wish you all the best and have faith on god.

Jane
