Emails From Surgeons After Reviewing My Photos
|
"It is a difficult problem to correct. However your only chance is fat
transfer. I hope you have some pockets of fat in places like your hips. I
would love to tell you that it is a sure thing but it is not. I have corrected
thesw problems before and the success rate is about 50%." (response
from Famous Doctor from New York)
"After reviewing ALL thephotos THE ONLY thing I would recommend is
a direct excision of your problem areas. NOT any form of lipo. Sorry
Regards Dr. B. Good Luck" (Response from Doctor in Miami)
"Hi ......:
I have reviewed your photos and am very sorry that your experience has not been
a good one. I take care of many revision patients in my practice, so I'm no stranger
to these type of complications, however I honestly don't know what I might be able
to do to help without seeing you. I do know that I can't completely "fix" this
situation, but I may be able to improve it, depending on how tethered the skin is at
this point, how much elasticity you still have, and what type of scars you are willing
to accept. It may be that a gentle lift is now indicated, which would mean a scar in
the fold beneath the buttock.
I wish I could tell you more just from the pictures, but I simply can't without the
benefit of feeling the skin and scarring. You've got a difficult problem...
I'd be happy to see you anytime you happen to be in the area. Feel free to call .......
in my office at ......... to talk more with her, or to schedule any appointment times.
Regards," (Response from Famous Doctor in Los Angeles)

Dear ............,
Dr. ........... has reviewed your email and feels it would be very difficult to
help you. He has suggested contacting a local medical university in your
area to see if they can help you.
Good luck in your search.
.........., this is a very difficult problem and unfortunately one that doesn't have
many resolutions besides possibly direct excision of the loose lower buttock
skin which could result in extensive scars, fat grafting and additional
liposuction to your inner thighs. As you know by now, you try to prevent
irregularities and contour deformities rather than treat them, and once they
occur you can be left with lasting deformity.
